Chef Max Mariola

With a YouTube following of over a million, Italian Chef Max Mariola proved that enjoying good food is one of the most universal of common denominators. And this Facebook Group which bears his name comes infused with generous dollops of can-do, culinary innovation from its members and admins. Want to know what I'm talking about? Imagine cheese stuffed salmon rolls, mango mousse or cranberry pistachio shortbread? Lebkuchen bars add a fresh twist to seasonal favorites. Want to experiment with alternatives? There are no-bake chocolate eclairs, a sugar-free carrot cake, a no-bake cheesecake and flourless almond cake. If you're looking for beginner friendly recipes, try the easy cookies or the simple muffin recipe. Looking for a zesty flavor-burst? What about powdered lemon as a hack? Or you could stick to the classics with traditional choices such as Grandma's casserole with vanilla butter cake for dessert.

Mommy Needs A Recipe!!

Food is one of the few things no-one can opt out of. We all need to eat - but navigating your way around food preferences, the moods of picky toddlers or middle-of-the-month budget bottlenecks can be tricky. Find the perfect side dish to complement soft-boiled eggs or inspiration to utilize leftover ingredients. Share family favorites or spooky breakfast ideas for the Halloween season. Show off takeaway wins. Brainstorm easy fast meals to fit into busy schedules or ask cheap options for group meals. Source the group mind for chocolate dessert or cookie recipes. Looking is sometimes enough to leave you feeling hungry for more.

Tasty Treats with a Gothic Twist

Most Goth-themed Facebook groups and pages don't have plates of cookies in them. But this one does. There are also delectable cocktails and mocktails, bundt cakes, brownies, air fryer meals, bat plushies and black cats. Not to mention legendary Goth icons, vintage horror legends, Halloween themed art and dark, dark memes. For some reason nearly half of the edibles have cherries in them. No complaints here, though. Actually, it's really cool to see such an eclectic mash-up presented in such a gorgeously seductive ensemble.

With the focus slowly shifting towards the food and indulgence of the festive season, this group might be just the space to explore for ideas. Threads on the discussion board include 'Pasta Recipes', 'Beef and Fish Recipes', 'Quick & simple recipes', 'Chicken Recipes' and 'Wanted :: Any Asparagus Recipes and/or Cooking Tips...?' to name a few. There are plenty of links to other online food resources in wall posts and close to 300 mouth-watering images in the gallery.

What's great about this group: Celebrate the art of cooking.

Update (26 October 2023)
As can be expected, there are now numerous Facebook groups for sharing recipes.

Food Fusion

This group - another small one as far as membership goes - will provide inspiration to anyone who wants to get away from the idea that food preparation is boring. The idea is to get creative and mix up cuisine styles from different ethnic origins. Threads on the discussion board include 'Two ways to Make Pork Milanese: Asian meets European', 'Recipes from the Yahoo! Fusion Cooking Club', 'Middle East meets West', 'Quick 10 minute Seafood Stir Fry', 'Easy Vegetarian Dish' and 'Hawaiian Asian Grill Feast', to name but a few. Also check out the gallery for all the yummy pictures.

What's great about this group: it's enough to whet anyone's appetite.

Update (28 October 2023)
There is still a Facebook group called Food Fusion, but since it was only created in 2017, it is unlikely to be the Facebook group featured here.
