Dungeon Master Resources

Even the most resourceful Dungeon Master can occasionally be cursed to trudge through the swamplands where all inspirations go to expire. Don't let this happen to your campaign and leave your players hanging. This group offers advice on resources, alignments, tracking tools, ideas, strategies on story design, player engagement and - well, anything else you might need in your quest to become your best possible dungeon master. A really useful feature is the ability to post questions anonymously - so as to avoid tipping off the people you quest with.

Dungeons and Dragons

It would be easy to assume that online virtual games killed off older versions of role-playing games, but nothing could be further from the truth. There are still people out there who play Dungeons and Dragons the old-fashioned way with dice and figures, although they do download their gaming manuals off the internet and share strategy tips and experiences in forums such as this group. Threads on the discussion board include 'What's your favorite player mistake?', 'Best Ranged Weapon', 'What's your most powerful D&D character?', 'Current or Memorable characters.', 'What edition do you play?', 'in creating a campaign setting..', and 'The Best enemy'. There are also plenty of posts from members looking to join up with players in their area.

What's great about this group: It's a place for D&D enthusiasts to share their thoughts.

Update (16 April 2024)
There are many groups dedicated to Dungeons and Dragons, some regional, some international and it would be impossible to work out if this one is still active.

Addicted to World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft is probably the most popular role playing game since computers first revolutionized the RPG scene. There are millions of players worldwide and each new expansion to the game causes great excitement. If you are addicted to World of Warcraft, then this is an excellent forum for sharing your experiences in threads like 'Your funniest moment while playing' and 'you know that you are addicted to WoW when...' For more serious debate, you can share your thoughts on 'Which side is better Horde or Alliance?' or 'The Future of WoW - Theories, Rumors, etc'. A thread entitled 'how many girls out there play. Post and give us your stats' has drawn 600 posts to date.

What's good about the group: If you're new to World of Warcraft or exploring new territory, so to speak, this is a great place to solicit advice from more experienced players.
